How to attain success in multi-level marketing

Achieving success in multi-level marketing (MLM) means one thing: you have finally reached what you deserved: having a higher income. Money (or more money) is a primary consideration of those going into MLM. The idea of having a fatter paycheck than those working for an ordinary corporation entices many people to join the increasing popularity of MLM.

But, as in any other business, you have to invest resources in order for you to proceed. Of course, resources include money.

If you are just stating in MLM, here are some tips on how to get more money form your investment and achieve success.

1. If you are a newbie in MLM, you may want to keep an eye on your costs and proceed from reaping profits. This may seem easy when stating. However, making some money off other's efforts would not work. You actually have to invest some money before starting, say purchasing a starter kit for MLM beginners. After all, how would you go on telling people that your product or service is the best if you don't have the items in the business with you? If you don't have the items, how can you persuade clients that they should try it too?

2. Spending on the MLM products and services is not enough. You must need to promote it. Some people think that shelling out money is enough and just wait for people to buy items from them. Remember: you can't purchase success.

3. If you are planning really big on this MLM business, you have to look for others who could help you. In choosing your staff, you have to select teammates as if you were hiring people in a company. MLM is a business: therefore, you have to think like a business person. Of course, this means finding resources in paying them. But once your MLM business becomes successful, you are the one who would mainly benefit from it.

4. Looking for people to support you in business means you have to find out people who could actually deliver. You have to assess the energy, experience, and skills of your staff applicants. Find out what they could bring to your team. Why? Because you are here in MLM business investing money and time. That is why it is important to look for people who could learn the ropes of the business quickly, can plan efficiently, and are very willing to work with you in order to achieve the team's goals.

5. You should have long-term plans. In reality, almost ninety percent gave up so easily before reaping profits in MLM. You should not expect to get your investment back on just a few months. Your team's results depend on how you perform.

6. When you begin to earn money, make it grow until it reaches at least $300 monthly, then diversify your business. You must understand that in order for your profits to grow, so does your business. Diversity is important. You should not place all your eggs in just one basket.

7. You have to have just one team. This is called a downline in MLM. This is your team. You have to help the people in your team that need improvement with the strengths that you have. Conversely, you could get help from other people in your team based on the areas of expertise that they have.

Build and nurture a team. After all, your team members are the ones that would support you in your money-making venture. That is why you should learn what it takes to be a good team leader. And at the same time, like a team member, you have to listen on their inputs or suggestions in improving the business. All of us have various areas of expertise, skills, knowledge, and experience. Not everyone knows everything. You have to learn when is the time to be the leader, and when is the time to be a team member, regardless of the position that you have.

8. If you focus on your team, you would notice how the team works as one, cooperating with one goal: making the business better, and along with it, the people behind the business. In that way, your aspirations become similar with other team members that are efficient and motivated towards reaching that goal.

Part 3 of 4 - How To Create an Effective Church Ministry Marketing Plan

Does your church or ministry have an Evangelism plan? How effective are you at reaching prospective worshippers and members? Here are the four steps you MUST follow if you want to kick-start your growth for the next 12 months ...

Step 2 - Know Your Target Audience

Perhaps this (and the points that follow) should be listed first, as they are critical to the crafting of your church ministry marketing (evangelism) plan, but it is important to impress upon you the necessity of having a well-thought-out, balanced, and written plan in the first place.

This point and those that follow are however all key points in the creation and execution of your evangelism and marketing plan.

When asked about their target audience, churches, ministries and pastors will usually say that they want to reach EVERYBODY (after all, the Great Commission does say "to make disciples of all the nations ...", does it not?).

And while it is certainly true that the gospel message is for everybody, as a church or ministry, and as a church or ministry with decidedly limited staff, time, and resources, you must start somewhere.

You must strive to focus your efforts in those areas that will do the most good, or which are most supportive of your overall central vision and stated organizational mission.

Not every prospective member or worshipper will read, listen, or watch the same thing, or even respond to the same message in the same way. Therefore church advertisements and marketing efforts must be tailored and customized to their intended audience or recipient.

For example, a young person or youth will have different interests, perspectives, and problems than will a more senior or elderly person. What will the tone and content of your ad be? Serious? Humorous? Fun? Scholarly? Reflective?

A young prospect is more likely to hear your message on a radio station playing "his" or "her" kind of music, or perhaps on the Internet, or on television, or from signs or posters in places where they hang out.

They may respond to messages that offer fun, an opportunity to socialize with their friends, or that offer some source of guidance and direction to them as they attempt to find their way in the world.

An older prospect may be more likely to read the newspaper, watch the news, listen to an "oldies" radio station, or read a direct mail piece. They may also respond more to a serious or reflective, inspirational message.

Adults with families are likely to be concerned with bringing up their children in healthy ways, in family-oriented environments. They may be interested in participating in missions projects in the community or in other parts of the world, perhaps in response to some recent event or disaster in the news.

Once you have a specific target audience in mind, or have at least broken it down into identifiable categories, you need to learn as much about each group as you can.

What are they like? What do they read, listen to, or watch? What message, program, or activity will be of most interest to them? What is it about your church that they will be most interested in, and most likely to respond to? How can you make it easy for them to become involved, or to participate?

Some suggested resources for helping you in gathering this information are included at the end of Part 4 of this report.

You need to develop a sense of openness and a willingness to learn as much as you can about the people you most specifically and immediately want to reach. Making un-informed assumptions will not be productive, and may even be counter-productive to reaching the people in your community.

For example, the needs, concerns, and culture of a poor, inner-city multi-ethnic community will be markedly different than an affluent, homogenous suburb, and different from a small-town, rural, or farming community.

Demographics specialists and professional church ministry marketing consultants can help you to identify and acquire the demographic information that you need for your specific community and target audience.

You can also conduct your own surveys. Just walking around the area where the people you want to reach live, work, and play, can give you a lot of information as to what is important and relevant to them, and how best to reach them.

Step 3 - Match the Media Channel to the Target Audience

We touched on this briefly in the paragraphs above. It is vitally important that you put some time, thought and effort into properly matching your ministry communication and marketing to the needs and preferences of the people you are trying to reach.

Often, churches will produce forms of media simply because they think that they "need to" or "should", without giving much thought as to the appropriateness of the form, content, or ultimate message.

One example is the ubiquitous church brochure. It seems like a good thing to have, and generally it is a good promotional tool, something to give to visitors and prospective visitors, or even to new members, but it is of little value if the target audience really doesn't like to read.

Slick, expensive, pretty-looking brochures are a waste of money if they don't say anything or communicate any useful or motivational information, that would cause the reader to respond.

A church website is one of the latest high-tech tools for reaching people, but what if the majority of your target audience doesn't yet have Internet access, or a computer?

Newspaper, or radio ads? Which newspaper? Which section? Which day? Which radio station? What time of the day? What kind of message?

The more that you know about your target audience (or target sub-group) the easier it will be to answer these questions, and the more savvy and sophisticated a buyer you will be when talking to the advertising reps at those media companies.

What about billboards, or church signage? The possibilities are endless.

Real Estate Marketing -- How to Measure Your Direct Mail Success

Eugene Schwartz, author of Breakthrough Advertising, said it best: "There are no answers in direct mail except test answers. You don't know whether something will work until you test it. And you cannot predict test results based on past experience."

What he means is this. You can take something that has worked for another real estate marketer, apply it to your own audience, and have it flop. Or it could be a huge success. The only way to know for sure is to try it and test it.

Sure, there are "best practices" you can start with, and you can learn a lot from the successes and failures of other marketers. But to get the best possible ROI on your real estate marketing investment, there is no substitute for testing.

Think of it this way. Best practices will put you ahead of 75% of your competition. Testing can help you surpass the other 25%.

And Now for the Good News

Direct mail makes testing easy. In fact, it's one of the easiest marketing mediums to track and measure. If you send 500 postcards out and get 25 phone calls about that postcard, you've just measured a 5% ROI (if we could all be so lucky!).

Advertise through radio or television, and your results are much harder to quantify.

You don't have to be an analyst or statistician to start a basic testing and measurement program for your direct mail. Here's an example of how simple it might be:

Step 1

Send a farming piece using buyer's (or seller's) guide as primary offer. Use this piece for a specific period of time -- let's say two months.

Step 2

Track and record all responses that come from that card. When you get an email or phone call from a prospect, ask them how they heard about you. If they say, "We received a postcard mentioning your buyer's guide," then chalk up a response to that particular card. Stop counting at the two-month mark and write down the total number of responses.

Step 3

Next, adjust a single element of your mailer -- let's use the headline for this example.

Step 4

Send your new mailer and track the response over the same period of time as you measured the first. Example: Out of 200 pieces mailed, postcard one generated seven responses in a two-month period. But postcard two generated 11 responses in the same period of time.

Postcard two is the winner (or the "control"). And because you only changed the headline, you know specifically what led to the increased response ... a stronger headline!

Toss the weaker headline, keep the stronger one, and repeat the process with a new "challenger."

Now continue this one-element-at-a-time method for other parts of your mailer. Test the layout, the wording, the offer and the list. Pretty soon, you'll have a combination of best headline, best graphics, best layout ... best everything. Run it until the wheels fall off!

"But how do I know which card somebody is responding to? Maybe they've just held on to card number one for a long time and are calling in response to it (instead of the current version)."

Easy. Just place a small code in the corner of each piece to allow for tracking. Example: Code 144 equals postcard one. Code 155 equals postcard two. When a prospect calls in response to your postcard, I can practically guarantee they have the postcard in hand (or nearby).

Then you simply have to ask, "I hope you don't mind my asking, but I like to track my postcards to see which ones have been delivered properly ... is there a number in the lower left corner of the card?"

This is a basic but reasonably effective approach to testing. I won't go into the weeds of statistically valid samples, because it's beyond the scope of this article. Just know that you have dozens of ways to track responses. Where there's a will to test, there's a way to test.

Use your imagination. Keep it simple. And above all else, be consistent.

Stop this madness at once, and identify one marketing task each year to eliminate. Too often, someone keeps doing a task (e.g. issuing a report), yet its not adding value. Eliminate one marketing task a year; your health depends upon it.

Thou Shalt Not Cut Marketing Spending During Slow Times
From 1980 to 1985, McGraw-Hill Research analyzed 600 companies and their marketing spending. After 1985, McGraw-Hill concluded that those firms which had maintained or increased their advertising during the recession in 81-82 boasted an average sales growth of 275% over the next five years. But those companies who cut their advertising saw paltry sales growth over the next five years of just 19%.
When is the right time to market your business? All the time.

Thou Shalt Honor Exiting Employees
I once had a travel industry client run a report that showed where their new referrals came from. The second highest category was ex-employees. It turns out vacation shoppers were asking these ex-employees where they could book a Vegas package just like the neighbors theyd heard about, and the ex-employees were referring them back to their old employer. When you treat your departing employees with a dose of good will, they may just turn into your unpaid sales force and refer business your way.

Sadly, we live in an age of boorishness. But a savvy marketer can do his part to bring civility into an otherwise uncivilized world. Among the countless ways to thank customers are thank you notes, gift certificates and appreciation lunches to name just a few. These thank yous dont have to be showy. Just make sure the thank you is classy and considerate, and the kindness will eventually be repaid.

Sure, we all break these commandments from time to time and end up seeking forgiveness. But if you consistently break these Ten Commandments of Marketing, you risk an exodus-a customer exodus.

Thou Shalt Not Cut Marketing Spending During Slow Times
From 1980 to 1985, McGraw-Hill Research analyzed 600 companies and their marketing spending. After 1985, McGraw-Hill concluded that those firms which had maintained or increased their advertising during the recession in 81-82 boasted an average sales growth of 275% over the next five years. But those companies who cut their advertising saw paltry sales growth over the next five years of just 19%.

Customer Review: Nice way to remember

Being a pretty big Devils fan, I was going to buy this even if the DVD was actually made from bubble gum, but the added bonus was the fact that the footage was pretty good. Basically Whoopie Goldberg takes you on a nice tour of the entire trip to the Stanley Cup Championships, starting with their loss in 2002 and ending with the game 7 win in 2003. The DVD doesn't really have a whole ton of extra features, but it does have enough to keep any die-hard fan happy enough until next time the boys raise the cup in glory.

Customer Review: Great all-round coverage

For someone who's living in a tropical climate a zillion miles (or so it seems) from anywhere an NHL game is played, this is an amazing DVD. I bought this for my sister's birthday, and it does not disappoint. ESPN Asia decided to ditch NHL for EPL (football/soccer) matches and we've been deprived of hockey for about 2 years, so we missed the 2002 - 2003 season completely.

I've not fully explored the whole DVD but have watched about 70% of it. There's quite a lot of content in it. If you're a Devil's fan, you must get this. I'm not but loved it all the same. Some highlights were the full 3rd period of Devils vs. Senators, walking around with Brodeur after the final game (that was funny and cute) and the interview with the players (interspersed with highlights of each match, in the run up to the finals). Out of the other 2 DVDs I ordered at the same time (NHL All-Access, NHL: Lord Stanley's Cup) this was the most enjoyable to watch, and had the most content.

Although I would definitely prefer watching each individual game live, I'll have to settle for this. I'll be getting the 2003 - 2004 season, whenever it comes out.

Well, that's a novel repackaging ploy, especially as this collection contains "Heartbreak Hotel," a song Elvis recorded in 1956, well before he met Priscilla. However, the second disc, a collection of rarities, is far more interesting, beginning with "It Wouldn't Be the Same Without You," one of the four known demos Presley recorded before winning his Sun contract. His tone here--pure and almost girlish--is the sweet sound of a boy who would be Dean Martin, not a revolution in the making. Private recordings of "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" and "Baby What You Want Me to Do" are so "living room" as to seem deliciously voyeuristic. But the most fascinating glimpse here comes as an alternate take of "You'll Be Gone," a song Presley wrote in 1962 with friends Red West and Charlie Hodge. Utterly awful, it finds him meandering into the squishy no man's land that characterized much of the period. He played it for the visiting Priscilla, who said she liked his rock 'n' roll stuff better, and, crushed, he supposedly never tried to write a song again. That was history's loss, but Priscilla ended up being a better A&R director than anybody else Elvis had around him at the time. And not a bad album packager it turns out, though the "rare, never-before-seen family photos" promised in the booklet don't quite cut the mustard. --Alanna Nash

I am not a fan of Elvis but do recognize his artistic merit. This set makes a good introduction to novices and provides a few sentimental tracks(disc two)that will please collectors and fans alike. Furthermore the advanced SONY engineering techniques are applied, providing pristine sound like their acclaimed Columbia/Legacy series. Tracks are segemented by developments in Elvis's life, such as his work, meeting Priscilla, genersousity, etc. The 24 titles on disc 1 are varied and are not all hits. I think the songs recorded during the seventies come off best, transferring him from the "king of rock" to a mainstream Sinatraesque Vegas pop singer. Fans will cherish the demo, alternate takes, and private recordings on the bonus disc 2. Nice annotation and family photos round out the package.

We at Land of Odds get many questions about what glue to use with rhinestones and other beading and jewelry-making projects. We're craftspersons and silversmiths, and we have a shop where we sell rhinestones, beads, jewelry findings, cabochons and the like.

Nothing is perfect, but based on our experiences, here are some good tips:

Always experiment with your adhesives first, before you use an adhesive on your final project.
Glues vary widely in terms of which materials they stick to, how well they form a bond between two smooth surfaces, and how the glue bond ages, both in terms of durability and color.

Sometimes they are faceted; othertimes they are not. Some rhinestones have a flat back so they can be glued directly to the piece; others have a pointed back so they can fit into a cup or bezel. Each design element in the architecture of the rhinestone -- base material, overall shape, faceting, foil, and effect -- adds to its shine, sparkle and brilliance. The mirror or foil reflects and refracts light. Sometimes, the mirror or foil itself has a special color, effect or treatment applied to it. The clear "glass" can range from, at the most brilliant end, very-leaded glass to somewhat leaded glass to glass to acrylic at the least brilliant end. Sometimes the glass is coated with an effect or treatment.

Your goals for gluing rhinestones into a piece of jewelry or onto a piece of clothing are simple:

You want a bond that sticks and is durable
You don't want the adhesive to ruin the rhinestone
You want the glue to dry clear and "age" clear
You don't want the glue to show outside or over the edges of the stone
If you've gotten glue on the stone, you want to be able to get it off easily

Never use superglue with rhinestones! Superglue clouds the stone. Superglue dries like glass, so its bond shatters like glass when the bond is disturbed.

E6000, or any other brand of epoxy, works best with glass crystal and glass rhinestones, as well as gemstones. Epoxy is a plastic, and sometimes will dissolve or disturb the foils on the backs of acrylic rhinestones, although it is fine for acrylic cabochons or beads which do not have a foil backing. E6000 dries like rubber, so its bond acts like a shock absorber when the piece is hit, dropped, banged or otherwise disturbed. E6000 is great for gluing stones on cloth material, as well, and the bond will withstand several machine washings.

A rhinestone glue or Elmer's glue works OK for acrylic rhinestones.

Hot glue guns will work with the stones, but the glue doesn't age well. The bond weakens relatively quickly. The glue yellows somewhat.

When we use E6000 with rhinestones, we put a little drop of glue on the end of a pin. Then we touch the glue to the back of the rhinestone. We maneuver the pin-glue-rhinestone over the place where we want the stone to be. Then we push the rhinestone in place, and simultaneously pull the pin away from the stone. We rub the stone and around the stone with our finger or the pin to get any excess glue off. Before it dries, E6000 rubs off like rubber cement.

About E6000

E-6000 is the jeweler's glue of choice, and our favorite. It is a one-part epoxy, (meaning you don't have to mix anything to make the glue -- it just comes out of a tube).

Perfect for attaching findings to base metal and costume jewelry pieces.

Also, use E-6000 on bead strands to seal end knots and to provide a strong, flexible seal that won't become brittle or damage the bead cord.

E-6000 is safe for use with virtually every type of gemstone and works on wood, leather, vinyl, and canvas.

Non-corrosive and self-leveling, E-6000 adheres in 5 to 10 minutes, and hardens to a clear, waterproof cure in 24 hours. This means you have about 10 minutes to position and reposition whatever you are gluing. If you are making jewelry, you should let the piece dry "hard" overnight, before you wear it.

We advise against using superglue for most jewelry-making projects. Superglue discolors stones.

Superglue dries like glass, so its seal shatters like glass when piece is dropped.

E6000 dries like rubber, so its seal acts like a shock absorber when a piece is dropped.

E6000 dries clear.

Two things E6000 won't do:

Bond two pieces of smooth glass together, like two glass disks.
Sometimes, it will pull the foil back away from acrylic rhinestones.

Gluing Marcasites

I know you are probably saying that you've heard it all before. Find a good program, promote, promote, promote, promote! Well,
you're right, but let's look at the aspect of promoting. Its a
pivotal word as well as action that will determine whether you
win or lose. I like to use the old advertising adage, say it
again and then say it again. See, if you look at any group of
ads, they all basically say the same things. "Join My Program
and Get Rich Quick." Not likely, at least quick anyway. If it
were that easy, everybody would be doing it. But, lets get to
the nuts and bolts of things. When you begin to market your
programs, have you actually sat down and developed a plan? All
successful businesses do. Have you determined or set any goals?
All successful business people do. The reason why you see the
same ads running consistently is because someone is responding
to them. People are biting, and thats what you want, you want
your worm to hook the fish. So, how do you do that? By
developing a plan and implementing it. If your desire is to
run a successful home based business, then make your FINANCIAL
goal to be two times the amount you currently make working a
real job. I say "real job" kind of tongue-in-cheek, because
this will become your real job when you become successful. Say
you want to set a goal of making $10,000 a month. That is good.
Now write that $10,000 down on a piece of paper on the very 1st
line on that paper. Then directly under it, decide how you are
going to accomplish it. Do you have a program that you may have
joined as an affiliate? Or do you market a specialty that many
people don't do as well as you? Whatever commodity you have to
put on the open market, write it down. This will become the
means in which you accomplish your end. Let's say for all
intensive purposes you are an affiliate to a wildly successful
downline building program. You have decided to upgrade from a
free member into a paying member. As we all know, you don't
really taste the fruit until you plant some seeds. Now that you
are a paid affiliate, how do you convince, sell your product?
You don't want that money to go down the tubes. You could go
into your members area, and look for ready made advertising.
Some of the more resourceful programs offer this asset.
However, if none is available, then your marketing effort poses
another challenge to you. You must create killer copy,
attention getting headlines, plus figure out a method to market
this thing. Already, you are thinking you may have
overestimated the the difficulty of this task. Its not
difficult at all. The method I use to promote my businesses is
simple, traffic exchanges, safelists, viral marketing, search
engines, and ezine ads. You see you must approach this thing
with a certain ferocity. If not, it will consume you, and leave
you lying on the side like roadkill. These are some of the
tools to use in marketing your business. In my next article, I
will go into detail on Traffic Exchanges. Are they worth the
time? Do they really get the job done? How much time should
you surf for credits? I personally am in contact with my
downline daily, because I want them to succeed. Instead of
the upline succeeding 1st, the downline must be successful in
order for success to be realized in the upline.

This isn't a bad product, if you use it casually. I wouldn't use it with a book, I have it clipped to the shelf above my desk so that I can read the fine print on receipts, etc, when I'm on the phone.

There is no point in launching a blind direct response marketing campaign and reaching hundreds of uninterested individuals.

No one spends much time glancing at what could eventually be considered junk mail. A direct response marketing message should be short and to the point within the first sentence of any letter. If a letter attempting to evoke a response does not make its point in the first sentence of a letter, it was not worth sending out in the first place. If the letter has made its point, it isnt necessary to get long winded about the features that come with or may come about as the result of a product or service. People want to know how something will be of benefit to them and nothing else. If a product saves a person time or improves their quality of life in some way, that is the type of thing that should be pointed out in a short and to the point letter.

The more personal a direct response marketing campaign can be the better. If a person feels like a letter is directed specifically at them, they are more likely to take a look at the correspondence than an obvious form letter that was most likely sent out to thousands of other people. Keep in mind that a direct response marketing effort is the first step toward arousing interest in a person. The next step is for the individual to make a phone call or return a response of some kind. Sales are a completely different ball game.

Studies in direct response marketing have uncovered some interesting tips that can improve the way a letter is written to any target audience. People dont like to be challenged when reading complicated ideas and language in unsolicited communication, so the wording in any letter should be simple and easy to understand. Research has also shown that most people scan a letter and read the postscript at the end before reading the entire letter. This provides an excellent opportunity for direct response marketing writers to reiterate their offer or request and to rouse interest.

Customer Review: simple but helpful

This is a good training video, I recommend it for kids and parents. The pitching mechanics section is good, but he skips a couple key items(i.e. both the position of the stride foot, and tucking the elbow on the glove hand, during delivery). However, it gives simple straight forward instructions that are easy to follow. I liked the section on types of pitches and grips, very good. I also appreciated the message that Little Leaguers should not throw curve balls. To paraphrase he states, "kids are going to try to throw curve balls anyway, so lets not put our heads in the sand and pretend it doesn't exist, lets show them how to do it properly so they don't hurt their arms." I agree. He strictly talks about the overhand curve, he doesn't teach a slider for good reason. Kids shouldn't try to throw it at all.

The tips from the pros were a little lame, but they're pros and I'm not.

A great book to go with this is "The Little League Guide to Correcting the 25 Most Common Mistakes" by John Montelelone.

Here's an email, modified to be an article, that I send to Newbies asking me how they can make a Million bucks Online!!

I always love to help people but remember I will never build you up with false promises. On the Internet you can realize just about any goal you set your heart on - if you are truly serious about running a proper business.

All you need to do is to take everything one step at a time. If you are expecting to make a few thousand dollars this month - You Won't! If you are expecting to make a Million by the end of the year - You Won't!

Online Marketing is not difficult but, just the same as any other trade or profession, you have to learn it. More importantly, you have REALLY got to WANT to learn it from the first step of the ladder. This does not and will not happen overnight.

The 98% of people that fail are "Fly By Nights". Continually buying into these $5, $10 programs or whatever just because there's the promise of a quick buck. That's being selfish.

Until you learn that other people, i.e. your customers, are far more important than you will ever be, you will always remain within the ranks of the 98% that have failed.

Use some common sense here folks. Just take a look at the proven successful people online such as Terry Dean, Yanik Silver, Richie Beneteau and more recently Frank Garon just to name a few.

Are these guys buying into five buck programs and "blasting" their Ads to $1 Safe Lists? Of course not. Why?

Simple Answer... They don't work! Not Yesterday, Not Today and Not Tomorrow - Period! Great as a hobby for earning a few bucks now and then but remember that true wealth brings with it both discipline and responsibility.

Discipline in your own life and responsibility towards your customers to provide them with the absolute best solution to their needs and/or problems.

Never forget that the last thing you want is for your valued customer to be stuck half way down some matrix or other and you never speak to them again. Chances are that if your name is associated with a $2 program or a useless service that has been bought on your personal recommendation they will never speak to you again anyway! Bye Bye future sales!

Your reputation is everything. Why ruin it forever just to make a few bucks today? What about tomorrow? Next Week? Next Year? A satisfied customer will stay with you for life and this is the direction in which you must be heading.

Why be a street corner trader when for the same effort your personal and financial rewards could be so much greater and last so much longer?

If you are prepared to go the distance there is now a vast amount of material available to you for free but also, unfortunately, there is even more junk which is guaranteed to confuse you.

Select your learning materials very carefully. As a general rule, any material either free or paid from the established Internet Marketers will always be good value. For starting out as a Newbie just pick those experts whose style you feel comfortable with and read everything they have ever written.

Then go back and read it all over again.

Read, Read, Read and then read some more. You are going back to school but there's no exams here. You either have enough knowledge to succeed or you don't. There is very little luck involved with Internet Marketing.

There are very few people who will be unable to grasp the concept of Internet Marketing. This being the case, why is it that 98% of people who try to make a living online will never make as much as $100 per month?

Again, a very simple answer. They are not consistent. They are not prepared to follow the steps that the experts use because it takes too much effort. They are always looking for a cheaper, faster and lazier way to make a buck.

Hence the huge amount of cheap and "free" scams available which everybody complains about but the 98% Failure Club are still there continuing to fan the flames with their dollar bills. I ask you to think seriously the next time that you are going to sign up with some program for "free" and spend all your time and energy promoting it as yet another "free opportunity" just so that people will join your downline.

What is the REAL Quality of the downline that you have just recruited? How much leverage and residual income have you created through your efforts? An honest answer would be minimal to none.

If you think small you will forever remain small. Consider that if someone had to pay $50, $100 or $250 to join a reputable, professional program, just think how much more motivated and active your downline is going to be.

To be successful online there only a few simple steps to follow and as long as you consistently apply just basic business principles and ethics it is almost impossible to fail in your venture.

In conclusion remember that even the "Heavy Hitters" don't convert every lead. They have to work really hard to convert maybe only 2 or 3 in every hundred but, if you treat these customers with respect and don't just forget about them you will, in time, have a gold mine sitting on your desk top.

I completely disagree with the last review. This dvd offering two past videos in one is a steal for the cost. Watching Dr. Jay dunk in person is something to behold! If these earlier guys weren't dunking like they did then there wouldn't be today's selfish players dunking like that either. Even to this day NO ONE dunked in a game like Shawn Kemp! His agility and speed with power and grace is second to none!!! Nicked name the "Rain Man" he would bring it down on entire teams at once. He would disappear into the paint and emerge head and shoulders above every one slamming it with authority, plus the Key Arena seating has the crowd literally on the court and every one would jump be out of there seats going nuts. It was a site to see, just complete caos!

Also with Shaq being the last true center in the game and dying off, You can witness some of the greatest centers take total personal command of the middle, like they should be doing. Not like today where forwards do now.

Great dvd and I still enjoy watching it!

When my husband deploys, I feel alone, scared and yes worried.. As a military wife you usually aren't allowed to admit that.. :) This cd is amazing... I love it and it makes him being gone a lot easier.. I don't care what anyone says... We are in the right fight.. at the right time with the right President. I don't like him being gone.. But its worth it.. This CD makes me feel patriotic.. it tugs at my heartstrings.. makes me smile.. I can imagine driving with Private Andrew Malone.. I can feel proud to be an American... Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Lonestar, Martina McBride, Montgomery Gentry, Aaron Tippin, Lee Greenwood, Neal McCoy, Kenny Rogers, Randy Travis, Phil Vassar, The Warren Brothers, Dusty Drake, Hank Williams Jr., Alabama, The Charlie Daniels Band, David Ball, and Blackhawk.

What do these artists have in common? Cutting edge musical geniuses? Gifted songwriters able to speak to a wide range of audiences? Innovators in their genre?

Err, no.

Actually what they all have in common is that they all appear on this package, created to commercially exploit the war on terrorism, one which contains songs like Where The Stars And Stripes And The Eagle Fly, This Ain't No Rag, It's A Flag, and Back Where I Come From. In other words, maudlin, xenophobic, cliche filled, black/white dichotomous sentiments, and the lack of any attempt at rational or questioning political analysis, all set to fiddles and pedal steel guitars, and to be marketed and sold at Wal-Mart. I should add that I am not against patriotism, when it is intelligent and well informed; this, however, is dumb, reactionary faux-patriotism. Nothing is more so than the song God Bless the USA. As an American who loves his country, I can say that this song, with its syrupy sound and its naive lyrics, does not speak for me.

I listened to a bit of this schlock on a plane ride a while back just to see how much of it I could take. The answer was - not very much. What little I could take made me want to drink, and heavily.

Some of these performers, specifically Brooks and Dunn, Randy Travis, Charlie Daniels, and perhaps Kenny Chesney and even (I hate to admit) Toby Keith are actually fairly talented; others, like former lounge singer Lee Greenwood, Alabama, Montgomery Gentry, etc, are 3rd rate musical hacks.

Ultimately, listening to this nonsense, I'm reminded that some of the greats of the genre, like Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, George Jones, and Willie Nelson were neither knee-jerk

reactionaries nor apologists for a ruling political party. Then again, Dusty Drake, Montgomery Gentry, and Blackhawk are no Johnny Cashes. Just Nashville hacks, soon to be forgotten.

Customer Review: Not the best, but a very affordable set of in-ear earphones

I've bought this pair of earphones last year and loved them. It was the first real pair of in-ear earphones I've ever owned and since then, have been sold on the technology ever since.

Pros:

-Sound was pretty clear; Good lows, mid-range, and highs and very balanced Treble and Bass.

-Bass wasn't too noticeable on PSP but bass was very deep when connected to an iPod. It always sounded clear, even with bass.

-Treble was very good, considering they're pretty cheap. They almost sound like higher end earphones

Cons:

-For me, the fit was never perfect. Sometimes, when I have it in my ear, it would fall out. It took a while for me to get the fit right and even then, the earphones would fall out.

-Again, fit was not good. Even when I had finally managed to get the earphones in my ear, I couldn't have them in my ears for very long. So in short: when wearing these earphones, use in moderation.

-Another problem was with the earbuds themselves. I've found that they had a tendency to fall off the little "flange" on the earphones themselves. It is an easy fix with a small amount, and I mean "small amount", Rubber Cement, allowed to dry on the phones (Note: Do not attach 'buds to 'phones while cement is drying and be careful not to get the cement in the phones themselves as this will greatly reduce sound quality)

So, even though these earphones are reasonable, they're not easy to find. For some strange reason, they (game stores) have since discontinued this fine product. Would I buy these earphones again? I wouldn't have to buy any type of in-ear earphones if only a rat didn't chew up my damn Stealths!

Customer Review: Mediocre!

These earbuds make me feel like I'm listening to music - underwater. This feature would be nice if my songs were meant to sound like someone's drowning me, but a large majority of them are meant to be heard above the surface. These headphones always make me believe I have a few too many ounces of earwax too, because my inner ear gets suddenly warm, and gooey.

They're not that great.

Do you remember how, in days gone by, salesmen would go doorto door selling their wares? These entrepreneurs would "gothe extra mile" just to have the chance to demonstrate theirproducts to people in their own home.

The reason why door-to-door demonstrations of yesterday worked so well is because it gave the customer a chance to experience the product. Humans are experiential in nature. That is, we understand the world around us by experiencing it. So putting a product in our hands gives us that opportunity. We get to feel it, use it, and see how its application could benefit us.

Now nobody's telling you to go door-to-door like the salesmen of old . . .

But what if you could achieve the same results by illustrating its application with a verbal demonstration? What if you could provide a similar experience to your customers that was nearly as good as if they held it in their hands? Would you consider that a highly effective marketing tool? Can you imagine the possibilities of being able to get people to experience your product without actually having to hold it in their hands?

This is where using Storylines come in . . .

Stories have been used for centuries to create experiences in order to teach, motivate, and instill values into us. Through stories we gain experiences we might normally never have. They allow us to see worlds we could only dream of, or may never even have dreamed of. Stories insite our senses, and trigger our emotions. They paint "pictures" for us and lead us to an understanding of things that are, often times, beyond our grasp.

But most of all, stories are master illustrators.

Can you see where this is leading?

Through a story, you can create a presentation that satisfies the senses, produces the right amount of motivation and emotion, and illustrates the benefits of your products almost as well as if you rang a doorbell, got let inside and gave a face to face demonstration.

And no one has to wear out their shoes doing it either.

First we'll create a scenario, then give a storyline example so you'll see it in action for yourself . . .

The beauty of Niche Marketing is that you can just about create a new market out of thin air. What you're about to witness is a Niche Market that was created where there was none before. But it doesn't matter if you create a niche from a story, or a story from a niche, because it works both ways.

Scenario: You're skimming through the news blogs and you come across a clip about how there's a growing number of homes that are unable to get cable television piped in. The clip goes on to say that, in many of these cases, satellite reception doesn't work either because most live in highly wooded areas. It concludes by informing that neither the cable companies nor the satellite companies know exactly what to do and people are getting really frustrated about it.

So you scour the web and find a solution that's already being marketed, though not very well. You read up about it and discover that there's a resellers program attached to it.

You join it and present it something like this . . .

Story Begins:

Satellite and Cable Companies Can't Reach Everybody

Television certainly isnt what it used to be. Today, through satellite and cable, you can bring in hundreds of channels in high definition that were once nonexistent, but now are just a click of your remote away. Up to 80% of all households have one or the other type of network service set up in their homes, as the old fashioned rabbit ears antenna goes the way of the rabbit test.

Unfortunately for some, the cable and satellite companies cant reach everyone, especially in remote parts of the world. There are various reasons why this happens, but it doesnt help those who are left without.

One of the problems with cable TV is the expense that goes into running cables through a town. All too often towns cannot afford the contracts required to get cable, or they feel the monthly charges would be too steep for their residents because of the wiring problems the cable companies would have to overcome. Some towns just dont want the cables running through their streets.

The trouble with satellite is that you need a clear view of a certain part of the sky in order to get good reception, and many in wooded areas just arent able to cut down enough trees to accomplish that. So there are quite a number of people forced to watch local TV through the haze of antenna interferences. No cable, no satellite, no hope of it changing in the near future.

For some, who might not even get good or adequate reception from an antenna, there's always VCRs and DVDs. But even they can get old fast, and depending on the quality of service from the local video store, their choices could be limited.

Recently there has been some advancement in online TV and movie viewing, however, that just might solve the problem for these people as well as for those who feel the monthly fees of cable and satellite are outrageous. New companies are springing up that offer the same services of the cable, satellite, and even video store companies for a one time fee to download their application to your computer. There are just so many different ways and reasons you can come up with them. The above example came just as the scenario stated, by simply browsing the news blogs and creating a storyline based on a few short clips.

But until now, some Niche Markets were nearly as hard to get customers to, as the "brick and mortar" storefronts. The most that could be done with them is to set up a shopping cart page and generate traffic for them from the exchanges.

Then you'd have to wait and hope someone was looking for what you were selling at the exact time your page came up in their browser.

However, if you start Using Storylines With Your Niche Marketing, all sorts of new venues will open up for you. By using storylines as sales campaigns, your areas of advertising broaden greatly. You can send out press releases, advertise directly through ezine articles, create news clips for syndication, you name it!

I copied another reviewer and bought one of these baskets for every member of the family. They are quite large and hold a lot of laundry. They have handles to make carrying easier, and they can either be folded flat or twisted into an even smaller round shape and secured with a stretchy band that is included, (I looped my stretchy bands around one of the handles of each of my baskets to make them easy to keep up with). I use these for my clean laundry and it is rewarding to be able to fold them up when the laundry is put away - rather than trying to find a place to store a bulky, hard plastic laundry basket. Also, if you are a messy person, you can use these to gather up things around the house and haul them to the room where they actually belong. Or pop them open and stuff your junk in them and hide them in the closet quickly before company arrives.... I mean, not that I personally would do something like that :-)

The feel, size, weight, balance are all excellent on this controller. The joysticks have a non-slip coating that is excellent. I will return this device because of one reason, the tenth of a second delay on the buttons. It is just enough to make action games like "Black" twice as difficult to play. It is a real shame because everything else about this device is fantastic. One more small complaint, the pictures here show the buttons on the right are color coded to match original controler, mine were not. They are marked with circle, square, triangle and X, but all in black and white. The really sad news is that I have not found any other wireless that is any better.

Customer Review: This is the controller you want. Period.

It all started when my buddy Dave and I were trying to rock some Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, using his old, busted Nyko wireless controllers. Cries of "Oh come on. I was blocking! Look. Look at it, I got the stupid button held down. I never took my finger off it!", "Why is my guy moving, I'm not even pressing anything!", and "Why does this clown keep jumpi.... yeap, and the controller's dead. Look. I keep hitting buttons, and there's noth... oh wait. There it goes." filled the room.

So the quest to obtain wireless controllers that were actually decent was born. I checked Amazon, and these had the highest rating, so I decided to go out on a whim, and drop 60 dollars plus for two PS2 controllers. 30 dollars each is a ludicrous amount of money to spend on controllers for a system that's pretty much obsolete, but you know what? Worth every penny. Every. Single. Penny.

They feel great, they're responsive, they have a nice weight to them, and best of all? They work. They never go on the fritz, there's zero lag between button presses and game action, the batteries last a long time, and they never lose connection.

I've read a few negative reviews on these. Yeah, the manual that comes with them is not the greatest. (If you even want to call it a manual.) It's a folded piece of multilingual instruction sheet crammed inside the cardboard of the blister pack, but it's not exactly quantum physics to figure out. You plug the end that looks like it goes into the PS2 into the PS2, and you mash the buttons on your controller with your thumbs while you deliver repeated beatings to your buddy Dave with zero lag, and zero headaches. That's it. No manual required, really.

The only thing that I would call a downside with these controllers, is the fact that the controllers and the receivers appear to have a unique radio ID.

I have two of these controllers myself. (Yeah, me and Dave liked em so much, I bought two for myself.) You have them both plugged into the deck at the same time. They're not like regular cordless units where whatever controller you hit first is player one. Whatever controller Player 1 was on when you plugged them both in, will be player 1 indefinitely. Not a problem, right? I agree, it's not a problem, per se. But you have two controllers that look exactly the same. You grab one, sit your behind down on the couch, grab your tasty beverage, and prepare to unleash a most furious beatdown upon Stryker, with all his throw-happy computer controlled cheating, only to realize you've got "Player 2". Can't switch em, can't do anything. You physically have to go dig the other controller out of the couch cushions, because unless you've got someone else with you, the controller in your hand is doing absolutely nothing.

That minor setback aside, go get these things. They're the best PS2 controller ever. Period. You want these. Ignore all other controllers. I've tried em, they're garbage. This is where it's at.

Effective Marketing Isn't a Game!

Marketing strategies abound on the internet. We all know that bad advice is floating all around the net.

Your marketing department must work seriously, if you have intentions of making a decent e-income. How do you decipher the junk from the gems? I am not going to present a marketing plan to you. I am going to show you what, why and how every marketer should use a checklist, for effective marketing with every business plan.

First and foremost, there must be a real need for what you are trying to sell. If enough research has "not" been done, you will have very low chances of success.

O.K., let's assume that you already have a good product or service. The sales and marketing team is supposed to promote it after finding out "who" needs this product or service. If the product or service has a target market, these people should be ready to promote for profit! Regardless of the motive for starting a home business, the product must be sold and always at a profit.

Here are a few things that you need to look for when you are wondering if your marketing plan will be effective:)

1. You will need a market summary to determine if there is a need for your offer.

2. You must clearly be able to explain your product or service definition.

3. You need to do some ethical research on your possible competition.

4. Positioning is something many people worry about. If you have a good, well rounded plan or method, this should fall in place, if you are patient. Spending a lot of time and money to position your business is useless, until you know what your market will buy from you. Beautiful and popular websites are only one part of the sales process.

5. Communication strategies are very important. Know who to contact and build your business image.

6. You must have a launch plan set in place, if this applies.

7. Public relations, advertising and other types of promotion should be considered, according to your budget.

8. Next comes pricing and distribution, if this applies to you.

9. Verticle and related markets must be examined.

10. Consider international markets for a broader customer base.

11. Metrics can help but there is a cost to equip yourself with metrics. If cost is a factor, look into metrics after you acquire some experience and profits.

12. A marketing schedule needs to be mapped out. Inconsistent marketing will get you no place. Have a plan and a set schedule to promote your offer. Never get lax about that schedule.

You now have a way to get started with an effective marketing plan. No matter what you intend on selling, you must have a concrete and organized, sell-for-profit-plan.

Nicely designed with useful features. Unfortunately, it does not work well. As other reviewers have said, it seems to only work well if you are really close to the transmitter. Most of the time the pointer moves erratically or not at all. Will return ASAP, very disappointed, especially considering the price.

i have had this mouse for almost two weeks now it has been a very good mouse. i do not get why all these other people are having problems. people have complained about the battery not lasting very long. the other one i have heard is that the mouse does not always connect. both of these were false on mine. i have only charged my mouse once and when i was done the program said i have 15 days of battery. right now it is only at 13 days left. and i have my usb plug in the back of the computer. it is just a little smaller than a flash drive. i can control the mouse all the way outside of my bedroom without having any issues. so i dont know why everyone else had problems. i am running vista and it does work with it very well. its a way good mouse and it is very high quality. it has a really nice grip feel to it. there are lots of buttons that you can set to do what ever you want with the program. i have had another logitech mouse that is probably 7 years old and it still works. the reason i had to buy a new one is because my new computer i have did not have the old mouse plugs in the back everything was usb. anyway i would really suggest buying this mouse and it is well worth the price

Customer Review: I Call It The Scorcher.

I bought this product a few years back, so maybe the new ones are better, but the one I have is somewhat difficult to use for long periods of time.

The way it is constructed, the bottom is a square hollow tube, with a light bulb only a few inches away from the opening. You place the tracer on top of whatever opaque photograph or paper you intend to trace. Then, after only a few minutes, the Tracer (because of the light bulb trapped inside its plastic body) heats up to extraordinary temperatures. Within five to ten minutes, it will curl a photograph and turn a printed out picture into a strangely wrinkled landscape because of the extreme heat. DO NOT use originals for tracing that you want to preserve!!!! Make a photocopy!! Also you can only enlarge a sketch that is about 4" by 4", because that is the size of the square opening on the bottom.

It has inadequate ventilation (no fans, just a few slits), because vents would make more light escape and make the projection image dimmer. The projection strength is already a little weak because a lot of the light escapes through the few small vents on the top. If you prop the Tracer up on pencils or something to give your photograph room to breathe (so it won't fry), even more light escapes and it becomes really hard to see the tracer projection on the wall. Must use in a totally black room: I had to use mine in a closet, and I had to turn it off every five or ten minutes to let it cool down for about twenty. This can be frustrating when you're on a roll. If you don't use a normal light bulb, but something that burns cooler like a fluorescent, this might work better.

Other than all that, for a relatively cheap projector, it will do the trick. It enlarges very well; I made a tiny little one-inch sketch the size of a poster. If you just plan to use this infrequently, and only for short periods of time, it's fine. If you plan to make a career out of tracing small sketches onto large canvasses or something, get a more expensive projector.

Customer Review: I learned more than I thought I would.

I'm going to do something I rarely do here. I highly recommend INTERNET RICHES by Scott Fox for anyone who is serious about starting up or improving their Internet business. But I'm also going to recommend you do something else first. If you are just now starting out with your Internet business, read Your Internet Cash Machine by Joe Vitale and Jillian Wheeler first.

The two books cover some of the same content, but the Vitale-Wheeler book is written on a more basic level and is a little easier to comprehend for the beginner. This book goes into much more depth and also covers many subjects not covered in Cash Machine.

For those already involved in an Internet business, you will learn a lot more than you might think. I know I sure did. I found particularly interesting, Chapter 25, where Fox gives some outstanding business advice regarding the value of mistakes and knowing when to change direction.

This is not necessarily an easy read and at times, has a text-bookish feel to it, but the knowledge gleaned is well worth putting forth the time to read this one.

Looks like AOL has decided to disable links by default in their new WeSuite release. Ho Hum…..if you are a legitimate email marketer it looks like we have another thing to deal with when sending to AOL. Next thing you know, all ISP’s will require the sender to have a retina scan prior to deployment.
